Addiction & Mental Health Services

Avaris provides a community-based treatment program, serving adult men with substance use disorders (SUD) and Mental Health Disorders (Co-Occurring Disorders) residing in Baltimore City, and surrounding Counties. The company was incorporated in Maryland in 2004. Avaris’s services are provided by Maryland licensed and credentialed professionals in secure residential settings, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our mental health professionals provide a comprehensive range of specialized behavioral health, crisis/disaster management, substance abuse, and case management services.

 

Avaris residential treatment services are person-centered, starting at admission/intake, and continuing through the development of the treatment plan. Assessment, planning, assisting clients in meeting goals, and client advocacy are the core services provided by our company.

Treatment occurs in quiet residential community settings using current evidenced-based individual and group therapeutic approaches and psychoeducation tailored to meet the specific therapeutic needs of every client.  We collaborate with the client to develop a treatment plan designed to reach their greatest potential.

 

What Does Each Avaris Client Receive Upon Entry?

  • Comprehensive psychosocial assessment conducted by an experienced and licensed mental health professional (LCPC, LGPC LCSW-C, LMSW,).

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medical evaluation conducted by a licensed or board-certified advanced nurse practitioner (CRNP).

  • Complete substance use disorder screening and evaluation conducted by a licensed or certified addictions treatment specialist (LCADC, LGADC, ADC, CAS).
